Les Stroud (aka Survivorman) is a badass. I just watched the full credits following an episode of Survivorman and noticed that he composes the theme music in addition to writing, producing, and filming the show. To be honest, I’ve never even noticed the theme music, but damn, he’s a busy guy.

The Discovery Channel just showed the Canyonlands episode where Les subsisted for ~5 days in the Utah desert on a little bit more than a squirrel he caught.

Canyonlands National Park is smack dab in the middle of an ”amazing” part of the world. Mark and I visited nearby Arches N.P. in 2005 after spending some time skiing in Salt Lake City. I haven’t uploaded the photos and videos from the trip yet, but I ”can” link you to the little blog we kept for the first half of the trip: Tyler and Mark in Utah 2005. I gotta get back to that Utah desert soon…
